An air mattress and a water bed are different equipment systems. Home Medix AirQuilt is a bubble-pad air mattress supplied with a pump; AquaQuilt is a medical water bed system. This guide brings the current model information and Home Medix demonstrations together so you can prepare a specific purchase or setup enquiry. Your care team should confirm which support surface fits the person’s care needs.

What is the difference between AirQuilt and AquaQuilt?

AirQuilt AB-03 uses a bubble-pad mattress and pump system. AquaQuilt WB-02 is a water bed system. Compare the published maximum user weight and dimensions below, then confirm the requirements for the bed and home where the equipment will be used. The product descriptions alone do not establish that the two systems are interchangeable or that either is appropriate for every person.

For AirQuilt, ask about the pump controls, power requirements, connections and what to do if the pump stops. For AquaQuilt, ask for the exact filling, emptying and handling instructions. Use the current manual for the supplied model; do not borrow a pressure setting, water quantity or cleaning method from a different mattress.

Watch the demonstration for your exact model

The videos below are published on Home Medix’s own channel. Open the demonstration that matches the model on the product label. Keep the current instructions nearby and ask Home Medix to explain any difference between your supplied pack and the equipment shown in the video.

Prepare the purchase and setup questions

Confirm the model number, maximum user weight, mattress dimensions and how the system will fit the existing bed. Tell the provider your city and pincode, and ask whether a demonstration or setup visit is available and what it costs. Delivery, setup and support arrangements should be confirmed for your location.

Ask for an itemised supplied-pack list. AirQuilt’s published pack includes the bubble-pad mattress, pump, repair kit and glue, subject to current pack confirmation. For AquaQuilt, confirm the current water-bed configuration before purchase. Ask which spare parts or accessories can be obtained later and how to identify the correct replacement.

Check the current price, GST and warranty on the individual buying page. Ask which parts are covered, what the exclusions are, who handles a claim and whether transport or service charges apply. Keep the invoice, model and serial number together for future support.

Keep equipment support and the care plan connected

Ask your care team to confirm the care plan and the suitability of the support surface. A demonstration explains the product; it does not assess a person’s skin, prescribe a repositioning schedule or establish that a mattress prevents or treats a pressure injury. Contact Home Medix for model-specific equipment questions and your care team for clinical concerns.
